Here at MichelangelO's Pizzeria Ipoh,everyday we make fresh pizza dough, pizza sauce and our Italian sausages, meatballs and our Miki Miki marinated chicken. We are extremely selective in the ingredients we use and always we ensure the very best that we can.
Wood-fired pizza crust char, those delightful dark spots, comes from extreme oven heat (450°c+) cooking dough on a hot stone in two to three minutes, creating a crispy-chewy texture with smoky flavor, a hallmark of authentic pizza, distinct from being "burnt" (which means a dry, brittle interior). The intense heat causes quick Maillard reactions and caramelization on the dough, resulting in those desirable black "leopard spots".
Char (Good): Small, dark spots that are slightly scorched, adding flavor and texture; the inside remains soft and chewy.
Burnt (Bad): A pizza left too long; the entire crust, including the interior, becomes dark, hard, and brittle.
We use imported MFM High Protein Flour (13.8% - 14.6%) for superior strength and elasticity. This high-gluten foundation creates a robust, airy crust with a classic chewy texture and the perfect bite.
Only the finest Turkish olive oil, sourced directly from the sun-drenched Aegean coast. Treasured for its smooth, golden consistency and low acidity, it delivers a fresh, aromatic finish to our dough.
We add just a touch of pure sugar and salt—never to overwhelm, but to enhance. It’s a precise measure that unlocks that special, indefinable flavor and satisfying bite we all look for in a great dough.
We use Lesaffre yeast because it is consistent and reliable every day, in every way. It provides that unbeatable flavor that is a must for any quality pizza.
Our process finishes with crystal-clear, fresh filtered water. By controlling the temperature with exact precision, we ensure the dough remains alive and vibrant, ready for the perfect rise.
We mix our dough with careful, methodical precision, adhering to exacting measures. Every day, a fresh batch is prepared, mixed only until it reaches the perfect balance of temperature and consistency.
We carefully weigh every portion to the exact gram, forming each dough ball entirely by hand. We never use machines; this gentle, manual process ensures the dough is not overworked and remains strictly below the critical temperature of 25.5°C.
Patience is the process. We place every dough ball into a controlled chill for a 24-hour slow rise. This extended rest is vital, allowing the dough to mature and develop that remarkable, unbeatable yeasty flavor found in every one of our crusts.
Finally, we hand-toss every single pizza in the air. This traditional technique is the only way to achieve the perfect stretch and preserve the dough’s delicate texture. It is the hallmark of a truly authentic, Artisan-style pizza.

Absolutely delicious pizza, nicely baked with high quality ingredients. The owner is friendly, though a bit assertive, is great in explanation what to expect and what is expected as well.😅 Pizza is made fresh and cooked to order, so expect the usual wait. The tiramisu and especially the brownie and ice cream, are to die for.I'll definitely return whenever I'm in Ipoh from now on.
Best pizza in Malaysia. Who would have thought that best tasting pizza would be in Ipoh? Food in Ipoh is outstanding overall but this place is an extraordinary gem of a find!
The best pizza place in Malaysia that I know of. Their pizza is perfectly cooked (with char on the crust), just the way it should be. And pricing is reasonable too, considering the size of their pizza, they're 14 inches.Highly recommend their bacon & eggs, the flavour matches each other nicely. Also ordered the blue cheese for our other half (we ordered half & half), and the taste of the blue cheese was really strong. If you love blue cheese, it'll be right for you, if you don't, I'll suggest to avoid it.Their tiramisu is very nice too, the perfect desert right after the pizza!Definitely a place worth visiting if you love pizza, or if you're around this area.
